Mary A. Johnson, Havana, Dies

Mary A. Johnson, 60, Havana, died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 at the Mason District Hospital, Havana.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Fulton County on August 8, 1907. She was a daughter of William and Mamie (Ring) Van Fossen. She was married to Cecil Johnson in 1944 in Astoria. He survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Betty Harris, Vermont; Mrs. Melba Stambaugh, Bardolph; Mrs. Doris Munson, Lewistown; three sons, Lloyd Green, Okinawa; Staff Sergeant Norman Green, Vietnam; Kenneth Green, Canton; 17 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a step-daughter, Rosenna Manlon, Smithfield; a step-son, Harry Johnson, Galveston, Tex.; four brothers, Paul Van Fossen and Clyde Van Fossen, both of Vermont; Earl Van Fossen, Ipava; Dale Van Fossen, Galesburg; and one sister, Mrs. Lela Chockley, Galesburg.

Funeral services were Sunday, June 16 at 3:30 p.m. in the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Burial was in the Vermont cemetery.
