She was born Jan. 31, 1931, in Lewistown, a daughter of Cecil E. and Ruby Saunders Johnson. She married Gordon B. Manion on Dec. 31, 1949, in Smithfield. He died June 13, 2006.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, one half sister, two stepsisters and one stepbrother.
Surviving are two sons, William L. (and Rexann) Manion of Galveston, Texas, and Timothy B. (and Lisa) Manion of Branson, Mo.; two daughters, Patricia L. (and Douglas) Schmidt of Cuba and Debra A. (and Mike) Ford of Smithfield; two stepbrothers, Kenny Green of Canton and Norman Green of Vermont; one stepsister, Melba Stambaugh of St. Augusta; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She retired from the Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba in 1993. She was activity director for 23 years.
Services were held Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Rev. Ardith Corsaw officiating. Burial was in Wiley Cemetery in rural Ellisville.
