Cecil E. Johnson, 83, of Smithfield, a retired mechanic and restaurant operator, died at his home June 7, 1984.
He was born Oct. 20, 1900, in Bernadotte, a son of Edward and Sarah White Johnson. He married Mary A. Green in 1944, in Astoria. She died in 1968.
One grandson, one stepson and one sister also preceded him.
Surviving are one son, Harry E. of Galveston, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Rosanna) Manion of Smithfield; two stepsons, Kenneth Green of Canton and Norman Green of Vermont; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Doris Munson of Lewistown, Mrs. Melba Stambaugh of St. Augustine and Mrs. Betty Harris of Vermont; five grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Seward of Astoria and Mrs. Ethel Hopping, in California.
Funeral services were held June 11 at the Hukill-Henry Memorial Home in Cuba with Rev. Sam Bush officiating. Burial was in the Vermont Cemetery.
