Earnest W. Bucy, 84, of Astoria, died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 18, 1975, at his home in Astoria.
Mr. Bucy was born on June 15, 1891, in Vermont Township, a son of John W. and Lena Plate Bucy. He married Alice Mendenhall on Jan. 30, 1913 at Lewistown. She survives.
Mr. Bucy was a retired farmer. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Astoria.
Other survivors include two sons, Dwight Bucy of Astoria and Donald W. Bucy of Lewistown; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Hughes of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Mrs. Vera Brillhart of Plymouth; two brothers, Charles Bucy of Astoria and Boyd Bucy of Vermont; eight half-brothers, Otis Bucy of Springfield, Wayne Bucy of San Diego, Calif., Clair Bucy of Globe, Ariz., Ancil Bucy of Silvis, Henry Bucy and Eldon Bucy of Vermont, John Bucy of Astoria and George Bucy of Beardstown; two half-sisters, Mrs. June McCormick of Vermont and Mrs. Betty Rickett of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the Astoria United Methodist Church with Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in Union Chapel Cemetery.

Earnest Bucy of Astoria died suddenly after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home on Tuesday afternoon.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete at press time and will be announced by Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria.
