VeteranDonald W. Bucy Of Lewistown Dies

Donald W. Bucy, 61, of Rural Route 1, Lewistown, died at 5 a.m. Sunday, Mar. 30, 1980, at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria.

Born July 28, 1918, in Vermont, he was a son of Earnest and Alice Mendenhall Bucy. He married Donna Freeman Oct. 14, 1939, in Tipton, Iowa.

He was a construction worker and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a charter and life member of Havana Post 6408 and a member of Pekin Laborers Local 231.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Phillip of Havana and Jewel of Lewistown; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Phyllis) Groutage of Reynolds and Mrs. Gerald (Pamela) Hackman of Delavan; his mother, Mrs. Alice Bucy of Astoria; 10 grandchildren; and one brother, Dwight Bucy of Astoria.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Paul Hawf officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
