Dwight E. Bucy, 76, of Astoria died at 8:25 a.m. Sunday, April 8, 1990, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
He was born April 2, 1914, in Vermont, to Earnest W. and Alice Mendenhall Bucy. He married Mildred Purman on July 11, 1936, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother of Astoria; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Linda) Schisler of Astoria; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and an infant sister.
He established the Lakeview Resort at Anderson Lake and operated it for 13 years. He later owned and operated the Bucy Deep Rock Service Station and Motel in Astoria for several years.
He was a member of the Astoria United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Terry Westerfield officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
