ANSEL "ACE" BUCY

Ansel “Ace” Bucy, 79, of Silvis, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.

He was born May 2, 1919, in Vermont, a son of William and Irma Horner Bucy. He married Emma Schuman on June 29, 1941, in Missouri. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Patricia Poterack and Peggy Pustelnik; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers; and four sisters.

He was preceded in death by several brothers.

He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a machine operator at Case IH, East Moline, for 32 years. He enjoyed fixing things in his garage. He was a member of First Christian Church in Moline. He was a kind and gentle man and a devoted husband and father. His family was the joy of his life.

Services were held Monday, Nov. 30, at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Burial was in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline.
