She was born Aug. 4, 1944, in Canton, a daughter of Arthur J. and Leta M. Mellier Pittman. She married John L. Miller on Aug. 4, 1963, in Astoria. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1990.
She also was preceded in death by her siblings, Howard and Alice Pittman, Richard and Bess Pittman, Charles and Roxie Pittman, Jack and Pollyanna Pittman, Robert Pittman, Maralea and Phillip Kessler and Ethan Gramm.
Surviving are three sons, Gale Miller of Ellijay, Ga., Blake (and Robinette) Miller of Vermont and Josh (and Emily) Miller of Astoria; one sister, Elizabeth Gramm of Nashville, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.
She was a farm wife, homemaker, florist and baker.
She was a devoted Christian and lifelong member of Grace Bible Church of Astoria. She also served on the Astoria Public Library Board.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Ben Murray officiating. Burial will be in the Astoria Cemetery.
