John L. Miller Dies At Age 46

John L. Miller, 46, of rural Astoria, was pronounced dead at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 1990 in Peoria.

He was born July 23, 1943, in Canton, a son of Ralph C. and Dorothy Beddow Miller. On Aug. 4, 1963, he was married to Barbara Pittman in Astoria. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Gale Miller of Adair, Blake Miller and Joshua Miller, both at home; three grandchildren; his parents, of Astoria; and one brother, Michael Wright of Eldridge, Iowa.

Mr. Miller was owner and operator of Miller Hay and Straw Co. He was a member of the Astoria Church of the Brethren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday morning at the Astoria Church of the Brethren with Fred Meisenheimer and Wayne Rouse officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.

Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
