Ralph C. Miller, 94, of Astoria died at 1:50 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at Astoria Gardens & Rehab Center.
He was born April 7, 1908, in Astoria, a son of A.J. and Viola Leighty Miller. He married Dorothy Beddow on March 28, 1940, in Chicago. She died Feb. 26, 2000.
He also was preceded in death by one son, John; and two brothers, Harry and Henry.
Surviving are one daughter-in-law, Barbara Miller of Astoria; three grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
He was a farmer.
He served on the Fulton County Board of Review for over eight years, and served on the Astoria Community Board of Education. He was a member of the Illinois Farm Bureau.
Services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Astoria Church of the Brethren with Pastor Gary Schultz officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 1-2:30 p.m. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery.
