Pollyanna Pittman

Pollyanna S. Pittman, 87, of Macomb died at 5:35 p.m. Sept. 2, 2020, at The Elms in Macomb.

She was born Oct. 6, 1932, in Summum, a daughter of Russell and Esther Stambaugh Kessler. She married Arthur John “Jack” Pittman on Oct. 20, 1951, in Astoria. He preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 2000.

She also was preceded in death by two sons, James and John (and Jane) Pittman; and one sister, Verlena Driver.

Surviving are three daughters, Pam (and Wendell) Willison of Ipava, Joyce (and Jim) Angell of Macomb and Stephanie (and Bob) Gustin of Amarillo, Texas; one son, Jay (and Carmen) Pittman of Tennessee, Ill.; three sisters, Elaine (and Dwayne) Yost of Manchester, Ky., Emilee (and Wallace) Miller of Rice Lakes, Wis., and Margaret (and Luther) Fowler of Avon, Ind.; one brother, Roger (and Jane) Kessler of Beardstown; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

As well as being a homemaker, she worked a variety of jobs, including a wedding cake baker, a cosmetic consultant and last working as a cashier at Wal-Mart in Macomb, retiring in 1997.

She was a member of Woodland Church of the Brethren.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private service will be held at a later date. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
