John Pittman

John Pittman, 58, of Adair died at 1:28 p.m. Jan. 30, 2013, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

He was born Sept. 9, 1954, in Rushville, a son of Arthur John "Jack" and Pollyanna Kessler Pittman. He married Jane Rutledge on June 12, 1976, in Adair. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Megan Pittman of Miami, Fla.; two sons, Zachary Pittman of El Paso, Texas, and Skyler Pittman of Virginia Beach, Va.; his mother, Pollyana Pittman of Bushnell; three sisters, Pam (and Wendell) Willison of Ipava, Joyce (and Jim) Angell of Oak Park and Stephanie (and Bob) Gustin of Amarillo, Texas; and one brother, Jay (and Carmen) Pittman of Colchester.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack; and one brother, Jamie Pittman.

He lived in Fulton County most of his life before moving to Adair in 1976. He worked as a truck driver and was owner and operator of JP Transfer.

He was a former member of New Salem Fire Department.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with John's aunt, Maryann Pittman officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be held at Pennington Point Cemetery west of Adair at a later date.
