She was born Oct. 19, 1950, in Macomb, a daughter of Robert and Patricia Hammond Rutledge. She married A. John Pittman Jr. on June 12, 1976, in Adair. He passed away on Jan. 30, 2013.
Surviving are her daughter, Megan Pittman of the Caribbean; two sons, Zachary Pittman of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Skyler Pittman of Virginia Beach, Va.; her parents, Robert and Patricia Rutledge of Adair; one sister, Nancy (and Roy Evans) Rutledge of Macomb; and two brothers, Craig (and Margo) Rutledge and Kenny (and Kathryn) Rutledge, both of Adair.
She lived all of her life in the Adair area. She worked as an art teacher with the Macomb School District for 37 years before her retirement.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Funeral services were held Saturday at First Christian Church in Macomb with Reverend Kelly Ingersoll and Pastor Maryanne Pittman officiating. Private burial was in Pennington Point Cemetery. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb was in charge of arrangements.
