Leonard BrockleyLeonard C. Brockley, 99, of Vermont died at 4:30 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2004, at Culbertson Long Term Care Facility in Rushville.

He was born June 28, 1904, in Fulton County, a son of William and Clara Jeanette Kelly Brockley. He married Alliene Aten on Sept. 2, 1926, in Rushville. She died Jan. 13, 1987.

He also was preceded in death by four sisters, Frances Niece, Valera Perne, Jessie Easley and one infant sister.

Surviving are one son, David (and Norma) of Vermont; three daughters, Doris (and Carroll) Kost of Vermont, Virginia (and Phillip) McCormick of Astoria and Donna (and Jack) Farr of Table Grove; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Kenneth of Astoria.

He was a lifelong farmer and a past member of the VIT School Board.

He was a member of Vermont Christian Church.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Tim Gilliland officiating. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery.
