Virginia R. McCormick, 85, of Astoria died at 1:36 p.m. July 13, 2016, at McDonough District Hospital Emergency Room in Macomb.
She was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Ray, a daughter of Leonard and Alliene Aten Brockley. She married Phillip “Bud” McCormick on Feb. 12, 1949, in Canton. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2006.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Rick McCormick; and one sister, Doris Kost.
Surviving are two sons, Scott McCormick and Chris (and Roberta) McCormick, both of Astoria; one sister, Donna Farr of Table Grove; one brother, David (and Norma) Brockley of Vermont; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She worked at the Vermont Foundry, Stevens Publishing in Astoria and various other stores in Astoria.
She was a farm wife. She was a member of Astoria United Methodist Church and Pythian Sisters Lodge of Astoria.
Services were held Sunday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with David Little officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery in Astoria.
