Kenneth Brockley

Kenneth Brockley, 104, of Astoria died at 8:26 p.m. Dec. 17, 2006, at his home.

He was born Feb. 10, 1902, in Vermont Township, Fulton County, a son of William and Clara Kelly Brockley. He married Velma May Nokes on April 12, 1951, in Kalispell, Mont. She died June 21, 1992.

Also preceding him in death were four sisters, Jessie Easley, Frances Neice, Valera Pernie and an infant; and one brother, Leonard.

Surviving are one son, Bill (and Rosie) of Astoria; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He farmed until he was 101. In his younger days, he broke horses in Montana.

He was a member of Astoria Christian Church.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Gary Sheets officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate or Hickory-Kerton Fire Department.
