William Farwell, aged 74 years, eight months and nine days, died suddenly at his home in South Woodland, Saturday evening. Death being due to heart failure.
He is survived by his wife and the following children: Darius, Robert and John, Mrs. Maggie Workman, Mrs. Flossie Rose and Mrs. Minnie Markley, Mrs. Susie Curless and Miss Alice Farwell, all residing near Astoria. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Louise Chaddock, Mrs. Hattie Curless and Mrs. Alice Welker and one brother, Granville Farwell of Oklahoma.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon at the Mt. Zion church, conducted by Rev. John Davis. Burial in the cemetery near by.
