John H. Farwell, 82, of Summum, died at 8:53 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 1982, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
Born March 7, 1900, in Woodland Township, he was the son of William and Annie (Engle) Farwell. He married Dorothy Lane Jan. 3, 1920. She died May 23, 1968.
One son, Clinton E. Farwell, two brothers and five sisters also died earlier.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Mary Jane) Mathews of Lewistown; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Darius of Rushville, and Robert of Peoria.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Bluff City Community Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shawgo Memorial Home of Astoria with Collis Trone officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
