VeteranClinton E. Farwell Dies At Age 49

Clinton E. Farwell, 49, of 143 W. Hail, Bushnell, died at 8:41 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 1975, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb where he was admitted Thursday evening after suffering a heart attack at his home.

He was born Oct. 14, 1925, in Fulton County, a son of John and Dorothy (Lane) Farwell. He was married to Dorcas Utsinger Nov. 5, 1950, in Astoria. She survives.

Other survivors include his father, of Summum; a son, Scott, and two daughters, Lucinda and Brenda Farwell, all at home; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Mathews of Pekin.

His mother died earlier.

Mr. Farwell attended school in Fulton County. He was a veteran of World War II and the Masonic Lodge.

A member of the United Methodist Church, he had lived in Bushnell for 19 years. He was a sales representative for Moorman Feed Co. of Quincy.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday afternon in the Bushnell United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Simpkins officiating. Burial was in the Bushnell Cemetery.
