Robert R. Farwell Of Peoria Dies

Robert R. Farwell, 86, a resident of 5709 N. Humboldt Ave., Peoria, for 52 years, died at 9:43 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 1988, in the emergency room of St. Francis Medical Center.

A Peoria resident for 53 years, he was born Dec. 16, 1901, in Astoria, a son of William A. and Anna Engle Farwell. He married Ethel Easley on Nov. 16, 1921 in Astoria. She died there Jan. 2, 1927. He later married Marian S. Leas on March 17, 1933, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Oniley of Astoria, Chester of Chillicothe and Ronald of Ottawa, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Verna Blickenstaff of Astoria and Mrs. Marilee Hiett of Chillicothe; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was a plant worker at Baker-Hubbell Dairy (now Prairie Farms) for 35 years, retiring in 1966.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Cumerford-Endsley Memorial Home with Rev. Roane Deckert of Northminster Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was in Parkview Cemetery.
