Mrs. John Curless Passes Away At Macomb Hospital

Mrs. Hattie Curless of Woodland township, passed away on Wednesday of last week at the St. Francis hospital, Macomb, following an operation. She was aged 68 years, 9 months and 29 days.

Mrs. Curless was the daughter of John and Julia Farwell. She was born in Woodland township July 30, 1866.

She was united in marriage to John W. Curless on December 1, 1886, who preceded her in death May 7, 1913. To this union eight children were born. One son, John Farwell, also preceded her in death in 1907. Those surviving are: Mrs. Rose Parks, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Bonnie Wherley, Jimmy, Ben and Robert, all of Astoria. Mrs. Jennie Davis and Granville, at home, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Two sisters, Mrs. Louise Chaddock and Mrs. Alice Welker of Astoria. One brother, Granville Farwell and half-brother William Farwell, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at the home Saturday morning at 11:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. R. D. Freleigh. Interment in Mt. Zion cemetery.
