Aged Woman Dies

Mrs. Julia Farwell, Gets Final Call At Home of Her Daughter, Mrs. Hattie Curless, Woodland.

Mrs. Julia Blandin Farwell, for many years a resident of Woodland township, died Monday afternoon at one o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hattie Curless. At the time of her death she was past 86 years of age. Death was the result of a complication of ailments incident to old age.

Deceased was united in marriage to John Farwell, on October 24, 1849. Five children were born to them, four of whom are living, namely: Louisa Chaddock, and Alice Welker of Astoria, Granville, of Oklahoma and Hattie Curless, of Woodland township, at whose home she passed away, having made that her home for a number of years. Her husband, who was one of the early pioneers of this county, died a number of years ago.

The funeral services will be held at the Curless home this afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Charles L. Owen of the Astoria United Brethren church and the interment will take place in Sixteen cemetery.
