He was born May 21, 1910, in Woodland Township, Fulton County, a son of John W. and Hattie Farwell Curless. He married Emily Baumgartner on Oct. 27, 1933, in Astoria. She survives.
Also surviving is one nephew, Phillip (and Lois) Wherley of Scottsdale, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
He was a farmer.
He was a Woodland Township precinct committeeman.
He was a member of the Mount Zion Cemetery board and the Fulton County Farm Bureau.
Services were held at 10 a.m. today at Astoria Christian Church with Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.
