She was born July 24, 1912, in Marbletown, a daughter of Hart and Carrie Markley Baumgartner. She married Robert Curless on Oct. 27, 1933, in Astoria. He died Aug. 18, 2001.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Baumgartner; and six sisters, Opal Milleson, Ione Cole, Elzada Markley, Norene Derry, Wilma Weber and Bernice Baumgartner.
Surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Astoria Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years, and Sunshine Club of Astoria.
Services were held Monday at her church with Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery in Astoria. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
