She was born May 7, 1933, in Bader, a daughter of John and Louise Douglas McCombs. She married Willard “Pill” Thomas on Sept. 3, 1950, in Astoria. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1998.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Thomas; one sister, Rosa Lee Smith; and five brothers, Harry, Robert, Stuart, Jack and Charles McCombs.
Surviving are one son, David Thomas of Lewistown; one daughter, Teresa (and Doug) Knigge of Stoutsville, Mo.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She first worked at Bader Grocery in Bader. She later worked as a supervisor at Astoria Fibra-Steel, then worked as a bookkeeper for Cesco Soft Water Service in Ipava, retiring in 1997.
She was a member of Bader Christian Church and the Astoria American Legion Auxiliary, where she served as treasurer for many years.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bader Christian Church with Mike Shirley and Pastor Matt Haberman officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Burial will be in Bader Cemetery.
