She was born July 27, 1923, in Vermont, a daughter of Charles B. and Ethel D. Smith Webb. She married Lester C. Slaight on Dec. 24, 1940, in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1996.
She also was preceded in death by infant twins; one grandson; one great-grandson; eight brothers, Clair, Lyle, Russell, Herman, Walter, Robert, Floyd and Maurice; and one sister, Ruby Stremmel.
Surviving are five children, Judy Pollitt of Ipava, Jerry (and Maureen) Slaight of Coker, Ala., Steve (and Linda) Slaight and Karla (and David) Davison, both of Canton and Kathy (and Brian) Miller of Morton; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Canton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
