Herman B. Webb, 83, of rural Ipava, died at 7:33 a.m. Monday, March 22, 1999, at his home.

He was born Oct. 13, 1915, in Ipava, a son of Charles B. and Ethel D. Smith Webb. He married C. Elizabeth Breckenridge on Aug. 7, 1949, in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Steve (Carol) Birch of Lewistown; three sons, Ronald of Lewistown, Gregory of Astoria and James of Ipava; four brothers, Maurice and Floyd, both of Lewistown and Walter and Clair, both of Astoria; one sister, Mildred Slaight of Canton; nine grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; and one great-grandchild.

Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

He was a sales manager for Lock Motor Sales in Canton from 1950 to 1952. In 1953, he became a partner at Heath-Webb Motor Co. in Bushnell. He was a farmer in rural Ipava and Lewistown for the past 45 years. He was of the Primitive Baptist faith and a former member of the Astoria United Brethren Church. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Services were held this morning at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Larry Hance officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
