ROY L. “DODE” HOLLENBACK

Roy L. “Dode” Hollenback, 75, of Table Grove died at 7:30 a.m. April 1, 2007, at Heartland Healthcare Center in Macomb.

He was born July 18, 1931, in Table Grove, a son of Homer and Fern Callahan Hollenback. He married Margaret Ann Thompson. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Leslie Michael (and Emily) and Bill (and Marcia), both of Ipava and Blake Roy (and Christy) of Adair; four daughters, Jane (and Kevin) Cowin of Browning, Cindy (and Jeff) Poppenhager of Albion, Debbie Lindsey (and Robbie Adkins) of Astoria and Becky (and Donnie) Watson of Vermont; one sister, Wanda (and Carroll) Skiles of Summum; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He also is survived by Irene Faith, with whom he made his home for the past 22 years.

He was preceded in death by one grandson and two brothers, Burdette and Gene.

He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Ipava American Legion.

He was a truck driver for 57 years.

Services were held Friday at Table Grove Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Matheson officiating. Military rites were accorded by Ipava American Legion.
