Wanda M. Skiles, 86, of Astoria died at 4:30 a.m. July 19, 2020, at her home.Wanda M. Skiles, 86, of Astoria died at 4:30 a.m. July 19, 2020, at her home.
She was born Nov. 13, 1933, in Table Grove, the daughter of Homer and Fern Hollenback. She married Carroll Skiles on Aug. 25, 1951, in Ipava. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Janet K. Skiles of Carthage; one son, Mark T. Skiles of Astoria; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Burdette, Gene and Roy Lee Hollenback.
She was a hard-working farmwife all her life. She also was a first-class record keeper.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Astoria Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Astoria Fire and Rescue or the Fulton County Humane Society.
