Margaret HollenbackMargaret A. Hollenback, 77, of Ipava died at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009, at her home.

She was born Jan. 3, 1932, in Schuyler County, the daughter of Leslie Edward and Beulah Margaret Strong Thompson. She married Roy Lee Hollenback on July 26, 1952, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2007.

She also was preceded in death by one grandson, Jacob Poppenhager; and three brothers, Ralph, Paul and Dwight Thompson.

Surviving are three sons, Leslie Michael (and Emily) Hollenback and Bill (and Marcia) Hollenback, both of Ipava and Blake Roy (and Christy) Hollenback of Adair; four daughters, Carol Jane (and Kevin) Cowin of Industry, Cindy Leann (and Jeff) Poppenhager of Albion, and Deborah Ruth (and Robbie Adkins) Lindsey and Rebecca Lynn (and Donnie) Watson, both of Astoria; one brother, Rudy (and Glenda) Thompson of Lake Worth, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was a cook at Brown’s Restaurant in Rushville, retiring in 2002.

She was a member of Ipava Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Ray Greenfield officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the memorial home. Burial will be in Table Grove Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to McDonough District Hospice in Macomb.
