Linda EasleyLinda A. Easley, 84, of Astoria died at 6:10 a.m. June 27, 2020, at Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born July 17, 1935, in Astoria, a daughter of Orlen and Vilda Gilson Poppenhager. She married Richard Easley on Oct. 3, 1953, in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 2002.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Jeff Poppenhager; two grandsons, Antonino Easley and Jacob Poppenhager; one brother, Max Poppenhager; and one sister, Rosemary Leto.

Surviving are one daughter, Shelly Saunders of Ocala, Fla.; three sons, Jay Easley of Ocala, Fla., and Rich (and Deidra) Easley and Kyle (and Jill) Easley, both of Astoria; four sisters, Carol Davis of East Galesburg, Bobby Jo Willey of Macomb, Nancy Pressler of Springfield and Patsy (and Mick) Miller of Pittsfield; two brothers, Phil (and Marlena) Poppenhager of Astoria and Steve Poppenhager of Macomb; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was a bookkeeper for Bader and Company in Astoria for several years.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Ipava.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Summum Cemetery with Pastor Matthew Thiner officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
