Summum Woman Passes Away

Mrs. Ben Scrogum Died
Funeral Services Held Sunday Afternoon

Mrs. Ettie Scrogum died at her home in Summum, Friday, aged 60 years, 5 months and 21 days. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Carter. Nearly all her life was spent in that immediate vicinity.

The deceased is survived by her husband, Ben Scrogum, four children, namely, Everett Scrogum, of Leeseburg, Florence Scrogum, Mrs. Frances Easley and Paul Scrogum, all of Summum; also six grandchildren, together with the following sisters: Mrs. Mary Parr of Astoria, Mrs. Mabel Smith of Summum, Mrs. Ina Scrogum and Mrs. Helen Mummert of Canton, and Mrs. Mildred McMullen of East Moline.

Mrs. Scrogum was a member of the Christian church at Summum, but on account of ill health, had been unable to attend services in recent years.

Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. T. Sapp. Interment in the Summum cemetery.
