Everett Scrogum Of Astoria Dies

Everett D. Scrogum, 77, of Astoria, a retired farmer, died at 5:44 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 1976, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

Mr. Scrogum was born Nov. 3, 1898, in Pleasant Township, the son of Ben and Etta Carter Scrogum. He married Bessie Mae Lybarger in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Eldon of Springfield; one grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Easley and Miss Florence Scrogum of Summum; and one brother, Paul, also of Summum.

A memorial fund has been established for the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Summum Christian Church with Rev. Larry Manship officiating. Burial was in the Summum Cemetery.
