Bessie M. Scrogum, 90, of rural Astoria, died at 1:45 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 1990, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born May 15, 1899, in Ray, a daughter of Israel and Mary Bair Lybarger. She married Everett D. Scrogum on Nov. 6, 1918, in Lewistown. He died on Jan. 23, 1976.
She also was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Surviving are one son, Eldon Scrogum of Springfield; one grandson; and four nieces and one nephew.
She was a member of the Summum Christian Church.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at her church with Rev. Steve Castaneda officiating. Burial will be in Astoria Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home of Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
