Leona Ogden

Leona OgdenLeona F. Ogden, 87, of Lewistown died at 12:15 a.m. Aug. 11, 2009, at Heartland Healthcare Center in Canton.

She was born Sept. 13, 1921, in Pleasant Township, Fulton County, a daughter of George D. and Clara Mae Stambaugh Klinedinst. She married Harold Guy Ogden on Aug. 26, 1941, in Hannibal, Mo. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Karen L. Tucker of Burlington, Iowa, and Judith (and Skip) Hardesty of Middlegrove; three sons, William (and Connie) Ogden of Havana, Robert (and Judy) Ogden of Ipava and Charles (and Julie) Ogden of Colfax; one brother, Leroy Klinedinst of Astoria; three sisters, Violet Wickert and Marjorie (and Devere) Scrogum, both of Astoria, and Claribel Buswell of Ipava; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, William O. Ogden; one brother, Forrest Klinedinst; and two sisters, Nelda Schnarr and Vernadene Buswell.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Good SAM Club for over 30 years.

Services were held Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Ray Greenfield and Pastor Kevin Kessler officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery in Astoria.

Memorials may be made to Lewistown Fire and Rescue Squad or Susan G. Komen Foundation.
