F. Vernadene Buswell

F. Vernadene Buswell, 69, of Ipava, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 1998, at 5:30 a.m. at her home.

She was born May 11, 1929, in Pleasant Township, Fulton County, a daughter of George D. and Clara Mae Stambaugh Klinedinst. She married Harold D. Buswell on Nov. 14, 1947, in Ipava. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Jacqueline Grieves of Lacon and Janell Olvera of Naperville; two sons, George H. Buswell and Gregory D. Buswell, both of Ipava; six grandchildren; five sisters, Violet Wickert and Marjorie Scrogum, both of Astoria, Leona Ogden and Nelda Schnarr, both of Lewistown, and Claribel Buswell of Ipava; and one brother, Leroy Klinedinst of Astoria.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Forrest Klinedinst, and her parents.

She farmed in the Ipava area for 35 years. She also worked at Graham Hospital and for Dr. Ralph Davis’ office in Havana as a state licensed practical nurse. She worked for Dana-Victor Corporation for 15 years, retiring in 1992. She also worked for M and M Rentals in Naperville. She was a member of the Ipava Berean Christian Church.

Services were held Monday at her church with Revs. Jim Johnson, Damien Spikereit and Kevin Kessler officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery near Astoria. Shawgo Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Ipava Berean Christian Church or the McDonough District Hospice.
