Wanda MillerWanda L. Miller, 99, of Havana died at 8:23 p.m. July 28, 2017, at Havana Health Care Center in Havana.

She was born June 22, 1918, in Sheldons Grove, a daughter of Pete and Lula Maye Curless Hamm. She married Fred Miller on Nov. 22, 1943, in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1984.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Tim Miller; one daughter, Joyce Korth; five brothers, Marshall, Dallas, J.C., Dale and Virgil Hamm; and one sister, Glenna Hursch.

Surviving are two sons, Richard (and Connie) Miller of Rushville and Pete (and Pam) Miller of Lewistown; one brother, Pete (and Lois) Hamm Jr. of Browning; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker.

She bowled in Pro-Ams all over the country and was inducted into the Illinois Bowling Hall of Fame. She also was inducted into the Havana Women’s Bowling Association in 1982. At age 82, she retired her bowling ball.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sheldons Grove Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Curless officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
