Dallas Hamm

Dallas E. Hamm, 82, of Astoria, died at 1:20 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 1996, at the Astoria Healthcare Center.

He was born Oct. 25, 1913, at Sheldons Grove, a son of Pete and Maye (Curless) Hamm. He married Eva M. Briney on Jan. 9, 1933, at Rushville. She survives.

He is also survived by three sons, Robert A. Hamm of Astoria, Richard E. Hamm of Chillicothe, and Larry E. Hamm of Marathon, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Phylis) McCombs of Astoria; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Miller of Astoria, and Glenna Hursh of Havana; and four brothers, Dale Hamm of Bath, Virgil Hamm of Bartonville, J.C. Hamm of Bluff City, and Pete Hamm Jr. of Browning.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Auburndale, Fla. Funeral services were held Sunday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Sheldons Grove Cemetery.
