VeteranMarshall A. Hamm

Marshall A. Hamm, 69, of Sesser, died at 4:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 1994, at his home.

He was born June 22, 1925, in Sheldons Grove, a son of Pete and Maye Curless Hamm.

He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Hamm and Steven Hamm, both of Sesser, two sisters, Wanda Miller of Astoria and Glenna Hursh of Havana; five brothers, Dallas Hamm of Astoria, Dale Hamm of Bath, Virgil Hamm of Bartonville, J.C. Hamm of Bluff City, and Pete Hamm of Browning; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II and he owned and operated Marshall’s Tap in Bartonville for nine years. He retired Jan. 1, 1988.

Graveside services were held Monday with Rev. Lance Leeds officiating. Burial was in Sheldons Grove Cemetery.

Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
