NAOMI A. (BREHM) HEATH

Naomi A. Heath

Naomi A. Heath, 98, of Astoria died at 1 a.m. May 3, 2010, at Havana Healthcare Center.

She was born Feb. 20, 1912, in Woodland Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Joseph A. and Laura Danner Brehm. She married Samuel G. Heath on Dec. 22, 1928. He died Oct. 6, 1964.

She also was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Frank Heath; one daughter-in-law, Sondra Heath; one son-in-law, LaVern Ralston; one grandson, Robert Wayne Heath; three brothers, Toler, Melvin and Milfred Brehm; and one sister, Mae Gordon.

Surviving are three sons, Eldon Heath of Canton, Bernard (and Jo) Heath of Adair and William (and Alice) Heath of Havana; two daughters, Shirley (and Carl) Tyler of California and Betty Ralston of Frederick; two daughters-in-law, Brenda Heath of Astoria and Kay Heath of Rantoul; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a seamstress and did alterations for Gordon’s Cleaners in Astoria.

She was a member of Summum Christian Church.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at her church with Reverend Ken Peterson officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Burial will be in Summum Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Summum Christian Church, Astoria Fire and Rescue Squad or donor’s choice.
