Frank Heath

Frank Heath, 59, of Astoria died at 9:27 p.m. July 21, 2007, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

He was born April 28, 1948, in Macomb, a son of Samuel Gary and Naomi Brehm Heath. He married Brenda Welker on June 5, 1970, in Summum. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Astoria; one daughter, Shannon of Astoria; three brothers, Eldon of Canton, Bernard (and Joan) of Adair and William (and Alice), of Havana; and two sisters, Shirley (and Carl) Tyler of California and Betty Ralston of Frederick.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Robert.

He was a laborer for International Harvester in Canton for 18 and 1/2 years and at Navistar in Springfield, Ohio, for 12 years. He also worked at Keystone in Bartonville and farmed in the Astoria area.

He was a member of Astoria Fire and Rescue Squad for over 25 years, Moose Lodge in Ohio, UAW Local #1357, where he was a past union steward, and Summum Christian Church.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Ken Peterson officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.
