Betty A. Ralston, 77, of Rushville died at 6:50 a.m. Oct. 17, 2016, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born March 31, 1939, in Fulton County, a daughter of Gary and Naomi Brehm Heath. She married LaVerne Ralston on Jan. 17, 1965, in Astoria. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2004.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Frank Heath.
Surviving are one son, Marty (and Thelma) Ralston of Rushville; one daughter, Brenda (and Tony) Wessel of Frederick; three brothers, Eldon Heath of Canton, Bernard (and Jo) Heath of Adair and William (and Alice) Heath of Havana; one sister, Shirley (and Carl) Tyler of Napa Valley, Calif.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graduate of Lewistown High School, she worked at Chuck and Bill’s Grocery Store in Astoria and at Roger’s Bakery in Rushville. She later operated a day care from her home.
She was a charter member of Rushville Church of Christ.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Jason Triplett officiating. Burial will follow in the Messerer Cemetery near Frederick. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Rushville.
