Toler W. Brehm Of Astoria Dies

Toler W. Brehm, 68, of Astoria died at 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 1978, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born Feb. 21, 1909, in Woodland Township, the son of Joseph and Laura Danner Brehm. He married Vera Shawgo on Feb. 23, 1929, at Lewistown. She survives.

He was a member of the Woodland Church of the Brethren and was employed as parts manager at Black Chevrolet and Pontiac in Lewistown.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lola Mae Taylor of Lewistown and Mrs. Sondra Sue Lescallett of Cuba; one son, Larry E. of Fowler, Ill.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Naomi Heath and Mrs. Mae Gordon, both of Astoria; and one brother, Melvin of Astoria.

One son and one brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Paul Stauffer officiating. Burial was in the Woodland Cemetery.
