Vera M. Wilson, 89, of North Adams Nursing Home in Mendon, formerly of Astoria, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.Vera M. She was born Dec. 24, 1912, in Pleasant Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Burley and Allie Huff Shawgo. She married Tolar Brehm on Feb. 23, 1929, in Lewistown. He died Feb. 10, 1978. She married Wilbur Wilson on Sept. 13, 1984, in Lewistown. He died in 1988.
She also was preceded in death by one infant son, Bernard Brehm, and one sister.
Surviving are one son, Larry (and Sara) Brehm of Paloma; two daughters, Lola Mae Taylor of Lewistown and Sondra (and Silas) Boling of Canton; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Woodland Church of the Brethren in Astoria. She also was a member of Canton Moose Lodge and Canton Eagles Lodge.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, where visitation will be 1 1/2 hours before. Vernon Dean will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
