MARY LUCILLE (BROWN) HICKLE

M. Lucille Hickle Of Vermont Dies

Mary Lucille Hickle, 82, of Vermont, died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 1990 at Snyder's Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

She was born Jan. 21, 1908, in Moline, a daughter of Roy and Mary Mitchell Brown. She married Theodore R. Hickle on Jan. 30, 1926, in Havana. He died Dec. 23, 1957.

Surviving are three sons, Gilbert of Vermont, Stanley of Indianapolis and Richard of Margate, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Ellen Farwell of Astoria; 23 grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; 44 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandson; five step great, great grandchildren; and one sister, Miss Sara Brown of Rushville.

She was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, one brother and one sister.

She was a member of Pleasant Dale Community Club. She also was a member of the Vermont Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Vermont Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Pratt officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to her church.

Kost Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.
