Haskell M. Brown Of Peoria Dies

Haskell M. Brown, 71, of 1033 Laramie, Peoria, died at 4:08 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 1989, in St. Francis Medical Center, where he had been a patient since May 26.

He was born Sept. 23, 1917, in Fulton County, a son of D. LeRoy and Mary Mitchell Brown. He married Virginia C. Webb Feb. 1, 1942, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Larry D. of Peoria, Marvin W. of Harleysville, Pa., and Kerwin R. of Metamora; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Hickle of Astoria and Sarah Brown of Rushville.

He was preceded in death by one son, Dee, and one sister.

He had been employed in sales for Kraft Foods for 18 years and later worked for WABCO for 10 years before retiring. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wilton Mortuary with Rev. Lon Russell and Rev. Vernon L. Gibb officiating. Graveside services were held at 12:30 p.m. in the Vermont Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the special project for Grace Baptist Church in Nagoyo, Japan.
