Lydia GoodwinLydia Goodwin, 94, of Columbia, Mo., died at 5:25 p.m. Feb. 5, 2018, at Provision Living of Columbia.

She was born March 10, 1923, on a farm outside of Astoria, a daughter of David and Ethel Rolland Dohner. She married James Wendell Copes, who preceded her in death on May 13, 2007, in Columbia. She married Lester Carl Goodwin on Dec. 14, 1997, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2006.

Surviving are one daughter, Sandra (and Jeffery) Belden of Columbia; one sister, Doris Cook of Macomb; three grandsons, Stuart Michael Belden of Hong Kong, Scott Andrew Belden of Columbia and Mark Adam Belden of New York City; and 11 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Dohner and Dr. Russell Dohner; three sisters, Clarice Dohner, Norma Dohner and Beula (and Robert) Garrabrant; one niece, Marilyn (and Garry) Johnson; and one nephew, Michael Garrabrant.

She graduated from Vermont High School in 1942. She worked as a switchboard operator in Macomb following graduation.

She and James farmed near Vermont. She later moved to Rushville.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville. Private family inurnment will follow on the family lot in the Astoria Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
