Norma R. Dohner, 80, of Rushville died at 1:05 a.m. July 21, 2007, at Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.
She was born Aug. 20, 1926, in Astoria, a daughter of David and Ethel May Rowland Dohner.
Surviving are two brothers, Robert (and Beulah) Dohner of Astoria and Dr. Russell Dohner of Rushville; and three sisters, Doris (and Ronald) Cook of Industry and Lydia Goodwin and Clarice Dohner, both of Rushville.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Beula Garrabrant.
She was a school teacher, first in the Vermont area and then in Elgin for 35 years before retiring.
She was a graduate of Western Illinois University and received a master’s degree from Bethany Bible School.
Services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Mary Arnold officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
