Beula M. Garrabrant, 75, of Peoria, died at 3:25 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 1996, at her home.
She was born April 24, 1921, in Vermont, a daughter of David and Ethel Rowland Dohner. She married Robert F. Garrabrant on Oct. 2, 1943, in Peoria. He died Oct. 30, 1991, in Peoria. One son, Michael, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, James Garrabrant of Edwards; one daughter, Barbara Garrabrant of Peoria; two brothers, Dr. Russell Dohner and Robert Dohner, both of Rushville; four sisters, Doris Cook of Industry, Lydia Copes of Rushville, Norma Dohner of St. Charles and Clarice Dohner of Astoria; and four grandchildren.
She worked in the cosmetic department at Bergner’s in Sheridan Village for more than 30 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel with Franciscan Friars officiating. Burial was in Springdale Cemetery.
