Mrs. Joseph Geiman, Died Suddenly at Her Home Three Miles Southwest of Astoria, Tuesday.

Mrs. Etta Geiman died at her home three miles southwest of Astoria Tuesday at 9:30 o’clock. Death was due to heart failure, following an illness of Spanish influenza.

Her illness was of a short duration dating back to last Tuesday a week ago, when she took down with the influenza. She had recovered sufficiently to be able to be up a part of the time. Tuesday she expressed to the members of her family that she was not feeling so well. Returning to the bed she suddenly dropped into that sleep which knows no waking.

Etta May Schisler was the daughter of Samuel Schisler residing west of Astoria and was born Sept. 23, 1888 in Astoria township, being at the time of her death aged 30 years, one month and 16 days. She was united in marriage August 17, 1909 to Joseph Geiman of Browning.

Besides the stricken husband she is survived by three children, Marvin J., aged 8 years, Opal M. aged five and Francis U., aged 3 years.* She is also survived by her father, four sisters, Della, Bessie and Orpha at home and Mrs. Alma Wickert, of Summum. Five brothers, John of Marietta, Ray in service, Jacob, Clarence and Paul at home.

Mrs. Geiman was a devoted wife and mother and was held in highest esteem by all who knew her. There is profound sorrow today because of her death and sincere and heartfelt sympathy is extended by the entire public to the young husband and the members of the family. Only a few weeks ago, Oct. 13th, her mother died.

The funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the South Fulton church. Interment in the cemetery near by.
